Many hands and heads organise, manage,
repair, discuss, work together so that everything runs as it should. So that ideas are realised, so that everyone gets their freedom and help for the big projects.

Team and organisation


Staff

The staff team is made up of various residents who have different tasks in the building, such as administration IT, purchasing and manual tasks. The weekly staff meetings take place in the staff room in the administration on the ground floor.

House speaker

Elected by the residents for one year at a time, the dormitory representatives are the point of contact for problems between the residents, as well as the liaison point between the students, tutors and the dormitory management.
They chair the monthly residence council and take on tasks such as selecting applicants, thus supporting the administration in its tasks.

Floor speaker

They are representatives of the respective floor and the first point of contact for questions and uncertainties concerning the floor.

Council

The :DOMUS7 is self-managed and we rely on the active involvement of our residents. The monthly meeting of the council has proven to be a platform for organisation and exchange between the residents, the floors and the administration. Problems and tasks are discussed and joint activities, renovations, excursions and celebrations are planned. All residents are welcome to attend.

We all see ourselves as a team with flat structures and short lines of communication.

General house reunion

Once a semester, the general house reunion takes place. On this evening, the most important matters in the hall of residence are discussed. Attendance is compulsory for all residents.

Care taker

Our caretaker, Norbert Schulz, takes care of all the work around the house and grounds. From mowing the lawn to repairs and room renovations, he is active everywhere. We owe the good condition of the house to his tireless commitment.

Administration

All administrative tasks, which from the student's point of view usually take place in the background, are in the hands of the administration. The administration offices are located on the ground floor of the hall of residence. The administration team includes Andrea Janke-Schilling, Norbert Schulz and Harry Clausnizer (see picture from left to right).

Warden

The warden, Harry Clausnizer, is the master of the house and the contact person for all kinds of problems. In his role, he lives with his wife Laura in a flat on the 7th floor and monitors compliance with the house rules and oversees the modernisation of the building.
